Friends of NRA Sponsoring Committee
Appreciation Dinner Held in Greenville

GREENVILLE, (11/6/2013) – On Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2013, the Friends of NRA hosted a dinner/get-together for local individuals that sponsored this year’s Friends of NRA banquet.

Seventeen individuals were present at the KY Farm Bureau Office, at 200 Dean Road in Greenville, for a wonderful meal and good fellowship.  Friends of NRA Field Rep John Larowe noted on how well committee members had done this year and, after the meal, took a moment to accept suggestions from committee members for future improvements. Several committee members provided input on various ways to improve next years’ banquet.

Three high-quality pistols were given away during the event, along with a number of door prizes.

Rep. Larowe took time to thank all the committee members, those present and those that were unable to attend, for their efforts in promoting this cause.

This was the first Friends of NRA Sponsor Dinner to be held in Kentucky in 2013.

The Friends of NRA is a major factor in local Kentucky youth events and activities throughout the state. According to the Friends of NRA website, since its inception in 1992, Friends of NRA has held over 15,000 events, reached over 2.8 million attendees and raised over $200 million for The NRA Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Each year, The NRA Foundation allocates half of all net proceeds to fund projects within the state in which the money was raised and uses the other half to fund similar projects with a national scope.
